Public Transportation

Text

unibz students have three ticket options to chose from to travel through South Tyrol's public transportation system:

  • Südtirol Pass abo+
  • Euregio Ticket Students
  • Südtirol Pass

Südtirol Pass abo+

This personal season ticket allows the holder to travel on the entire public transportation network in South Tyrol and on the regional trains until Trento-Trient for a whole year.

unibz students who at the time of requesting the pass will be under 28 years of age, can buy the ticket for € 150. The pass is then valid for 380 days.

Euregio Ticket Students

This personal season ticket allows the holder to travel on the entire public transportation network in the Euregio region (South Tyrol, Trentino and Tyrol)  for a whole year.

unibz students who at the time of requesting the pass will be under 28 years of age, can buy the ticket for € 320. The pass is then valid for one year.

Students who have already bought the standard abo+ for € 150 can upgrade it to the Euregio version for € 170.

Südtirol Pass

Students over the age of 28 cannot buy the above-mentioned abo+ seasonal tickets, but can get the standard Südtirol Pass which is a pay-as-you-go public transportation pass. The idea is simple: The more kilometres you travel throughout one year, the cheaper each new journey gets.

The fares are calculated like this:

  • 1 – 1000 km - 12 cents per km
  • 1001 – 2000 km - 8 cents per km
  • 2001 – 10,000 km - 3 cents per km
  • 10,001 – 20,000 km - 2 cents per km
  • from 20,001 km - free

Maximum amount per year: € 640.
